Val di Fassa in 5 tastings
Località Fraine, Pera di Fassa
September 26, 2026 from 09:30
On 26 September, the meadows of Fraine in Pera di Fassa host the grand finale of "Fassa Fall… in love with Food", combining nature, Ladin culture and signature cuisine. From 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, the programme includes an easy scenic hike, an itinerant gourmet tasting and a live concert in Ladin. The celebration brings a week of events to a close. From 20 to 26 September, restaurants, agriturismi and local producers offer workshops, activities and autumn menus inspired by the traditions of Val di Fassa.
A WALK THROUGH RURAL MEMORIES
The day begins at 9:30 am with a walk along the Sora i Pré trail, between Pera and Pozza. The route crosses woods and meadows on the slopes of Ciampedie, offering beautiful views of the Costabella ridge and the Vallaccia Group. Accompanied by a medium-mountain guide, you will discover aspects of Val di Fassa's rural Ladin culture. Until the 1950s, these plots of land, divided among heirs into small parcels, were painstakingly cultivated with barley, rye and potatoes, mainly by the women and young people of the village. The easy, scenic hike lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes and leads to Fraine, where the tastings take place. It is also suitable for families with small children in a backpack child carrier.

LADIN MUSIC WITH POPCORNER
The celebration is accompanied by the voices and music of "PopCorner", a young Val di Fassa band created through a project by the "Inout" cooperative to promote minority languages. The group brings together singers Sabrina Calligari, Melany and Mary Locatin, accompanied by Gianpaolo Chiocchetti on guitar, Nicolò Dorich on bass, Daniele Chiocchetti on keyboards and Tommaso Dondio on drums. With contemporary pop sounds and lyrics in the Ladin language of Val di Fassa, PopCorner turn an everyday spoken language into music, creating a fresh and original repertoire. The concert takes place from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm and provides the perfect soundtrack to the tastings.
